Oktoberfest 2017

In 2017 I went with my family to Germany, and Austria for 10 glorious days.

We flew into Munich and did all the sights including a hop-om-hop-off bus tour with stops at the Palace, Olympic grounds and much more. One evening we did part take of the Oktoberfest at the fairgrounds and wondered into a few of the big tents to see what all the hype is about. It was very cool and we had a great time.

We drove the Autobahn which was exciting. Toured Dachau  concentration camp, which is quite sobering on our way to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We stayed 2 night in Rothenburg at a small Inn just outside the old city wall. We even experience the Night Watchman tour which was great.

We flew from Frankfurt to Vienna for a quick overnight stay, we even had time to go to a small concert hall with excellent music. We toured the Schönbrunn Palace & Gardens, they were so beautiful.

Onward to Salzburg, where there is so much to see and do. This is the home of Mozart and the Sound of Music tour. The Sound of Music tour was a fun filled day. From Salzburg  we did a tour to the Eagles Nest and stopped in Berchtesgaden and saw the Salt Mines. There is so much to see and do here.
